We’ve decided to include a reading in our ceremony to make things a little more personal. What we’ve chosen to include is lighthearted and fun and should crack a few smiles. Read it below first and try to guess where it came from… I want to make you smile, Whenever you are sad. Carry you around, When your arthritis is bad. All I want to do is grow old with you. I’ll get you medicine, When your tummy aches. Build you a fire, If the furnace breaks. Oh it could be so nice, growing old with you. I’ll miss you, kiss you, Give me coat when you are cold. Need you, feed you, Even let you hold the remote control. So let me do the dishes in the kitchen sink. Put you to bed when you’ve had too much to drink. Oh I could be the one to grow old with you. I want to grow old with you. If you’ve seen the movie “The Wedding Singer”, then I’m sure you got it. It’s a song that Adam Sandler sings to Drew Barrymore in the movie. I think it’s super cute and really fits our relationship. One of my best friends since high school is going to read it, which is really special to me. I’m going to include it in the program as part of the ceremony, but I’m not sure exactly how to do it…I don’t want it to say “I Want to Grow Old with You” by Adam Sandler. Should I just put A. Sandler and let people figure it out?

That's really cute. I would go A. Sandler. But I'd make sure he actually wrote it first. You probably already did.
My brother in law had a reading of part of The Velveteen Rabbit. Something about How Do You Know When You're Real and Love Making You Real? It was sweet too. Weddings are fun.
